Like the David Crowder Band Song is titled Everything Glorious, we learn this to be very true. We realize what a patient and kind Father our Lord is. Never giving us to much. Never giving us anything we can't handle.
When we direct every
activity in our life to him, everthing is glorious. So, the picture i have to the above is a sunset over a treeline here in Granada. Pretty amazing what God can do.
The first picture here on the left is our team The Cubs in the half-time of the championship game, which i am sad to announce we lost 0-1. But anyways this picture was a picture of us praying during half-time. To the left a little bit in that picture you can see a little bit of volcano Momacho. And to the right we have a picture of Laura, JoAnn and me swimming in the Laguna de Apoyo on Saturday. This lagoon was just so beautiful. A lagoon for those who don't know is a crater of a volcano which overtime is filled up with water.
So this week we did not have ESL classes due to the fact that the school we do them at is out of school until Febuary. I thought it was very interesting how here in Nicaragua they have there "summer break" in the coolest months of the year and at home in the states we have our "summer break" in the hottest months. So instead of going to ESL Annie and I did an ATL. We felt led in this ESL to go to Casa de Mujer. Which in English is the House of Women. We ended up having a meeting with one of the directors. Who said we should come back the next day with our leaders. Mind this was completely in Spanish and although my Spanish is getting better. To me clearly the Lord was with me helping me understand words that I wouldn't normally understand. But anyways we came back the next with our leader Tana. We ended up deciding it will be an intern position for a couple of people after Christmas to go to.
On Wednesday we did trash pick up again with children's ministry. Children's ministry keeps getting better and better. This week they upgraded by doing a little skit. And possibly one of my most favorite songs ever. It's called Te Alabare. In English this means I praise you. Some of the other lines in the song are, Me siento en mis manos, Me siento en mis pies. Which is in English I feel you in my hands, I feel you in my feet. This song goes on and on but basically you are jumping up and down and turning around and acting out what you're saying and it is just so much fun. On Thursday and Friday of this week we also had soccer practice.
This week for our dicipleship classes Charles the mission base sponsor taught us. The week started out with us needing to realize we can not live fully in Christ unless we with our whole heart trust in the Lord. He challenged us to then think of four of our sins we either continue to live in or can't let go. Then he told us to go outside and find 4 medium size rocks, and to write our sins on them. Then he told us for the next 4 days we are to take those rocks with us everywhere we went including sleeping. The only place we could not take them was when we went to shower. We lugged these rocks around with us in a backpack. Then it was our job to try to work through these problems with God. The goal was to be completely ridden of these sins by the end of the week. And let me tell you sleeping with rocks isn't exactly the most comfortable thing. At the end of the week we ended with a foot washing and communion. Then I preceded to go out back and through these rocks into and non-functioning well. And then I was free. When we are forgiven for our sins, Jesus lifted all that weight off our back. When I asked forgiveness for my sins that I was lugging around in my backpack I felt the literal weight of my sins being lifted off my back. Now in reality I could have carried maybe a few peoples sins for them and at a few points durning those days I did carry some peoples. But at a point it is impossible for us to carry other peoples sins. There is no way I could have carried a 100 peoples sins. Let alone the whole worlds. And that is why we have to bow down to Jesus, and realize that Everything he does is Glorious.
